WORKSHOP, THE NATIONAL GALLERY, 2025As part of Jeremy Deller’s The Triumph of Art, 2025 at the National Gallery. This workshop was commissioned to produce a publication which acted as our collective origin story for the future. Our current temporal moment can seem bleak and unsteady however, this workshop asked participants to re-take control of our collective future. Through an exploration of the archive at the National Gallery, they made visual representations of an imagined future using historic drawings, texts and paintings as a starting point. The Risograph machine activated our ideas, allowing for collaboration between participants where prints and thoughts overlap. Each participant left with a printed copy of our collective publication which documented the origin story; an origin story for a story which hasn't yet happened.
